The object to repair is used to maintain a tripod for a camera. The metal connectors have broken due to intense use.

The metal connector is fixed on a tube. The easiest way to repair it is to model an object that will surround it. To achieve this, the object will be printed in two parts. It’s also vital that the closing mechanism can be inserted perfectly.

First prototype testing:

The first prototype, validates the design, a few tweaks are designed and the final objects are printed in the requested color (black). The parts are put in place and tested:

The designed object works perfectly and the total cost is a lot lower than the cost of the total object!
